STOP WAITING

Prayer

“Stop waiting for what is waiting for you.” This statement came to me many years ago when I was praying to God for an intervention in my life. I was praying fervently and with all seriousness repeating these words in prayer

“Oh, Lord, I am waiting for you. I need your help. I need your intervention. I need you Lord. I am waiting Lord, it’s your turn Lord, come to my aid, I am waiting…..”

Suddenly, I heard in my inner ears “Stop waiting for what is waiting for you”. I was shocked to hear that. I knew it was God. Then I tried to help God edit the voice I heard into “Stop waiting for who is waiting for you”. Obviously, I neither got the point nor the message clearly.
Much later, I realized the point God was trying to make to me. It’s not about who, it’s about what.
Whatever I was seeking God’s face for was already ready and waiting for my rightful claim of it. God already did His part by providing answers long before the demand was placed. He had done his part yet it was not accessed or received.
Though I was very serious praying and seeking God, I was rather wasting my time with the wrong prayers.
You need to understand that most of the things we spend time praying over are already kept or reserved for our claims. The required wisdom to bring these things into physical manifestation are what we should be concerned with.
God is not slack with His promises. He will not come late. Stop putting your responsibilities on Him. Stop asking Him to do what you have been empowered to do. You can be certain that He will not do them. Placing the responsibility on God simply shows you are not ready. That accounts for the reason why people stay too long on one spot, revolving around same situation over and over.
What you can get is a redirection, like this, either directly from God or through various means through which God speaks to his children.
Please listen to the voice of Spirit within you. STOP PLACING YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES ON GOD. STOP ASKING GOD TO DO WHAT HE HAS ASSIGNED, APPOINTED AND EMPOWERED YOU TO DO. Start asking Him questions. Ask the Lord to open your eyes to see what you are supposed to do over the matter and pray that He empowers you to do it right in Jesus name.

Your testimony is next, Shalom!
